Hannah has over 22 years experience, primarily in children’s safeguarding and is currently training to be a therapeutic life story practitioner, and SILP reviewer.

From working directly with children and young people with complex needs from her time as a residential support worker, senior social worker, Family Court Advisor, Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)/Risk Manager and Social Care Regulatory Inspector, Hannah is dedicated to improving the outcomes of young people by innovating from within their social care system. Hannah has been a Service Manager in Local Authority, overseeing a trauma informed edge of care team as well as a short breaks home and setting up two new children’s organisations. 

Experienced at managing and supervising multi-disciplinary teams across areas such as children and adults social care, health, public health, educational psychology and drama therapy Hannah is hugely proud to have headed the team who won the 2022 MJ achievement award for ‘Innovation in Children’s and Adults Services’.

I understand how the numerous elements fit together in the wider social care arena and how these services need to operate to keep children safe and to help positive outcomes.

I am dedicated to meeting difficult challenges and uncomfortable situations head on and work professionally to identify how to take steps to innovate and improve the Social Care environment. One of my strengths is my strong sense of professional curiosity and ability to dig beneath the surface and get to the core of the issue.

I am tenacious at finding solutions in a way which is beneficial to all and will be effective in changing and developing practice. I understand the importance of having everyone on board when progressing through the many complex areas that are involved, and I am supportive, open and approachable in my style. I am a skilled, sensitive communicator and negotiator.
